Founded in 1981 as Charles McMurray Designs, the company was the natural
evolution of an architectural education and practice spanning more
than 20 years. An early interest in sculpture and architectural interiors
formed the basis for the sculptural elements seen in each piece of
highly crafted furniture. The First Collection of lounge chairs, side
chairs, desk chairs, sofas, occasional tables and desks presented
a group of highly tailored furniture, complimentary in form and unified
in dimension. Other designers have contributed through the years,
most notably John Kordak, with whom McMurray designed the IBD Award
winning Manhattan series and Best of NEOCON Rio series. Scott McMurray as president and owner continues the tradition of building furniture that is rich in design and of the finest quality.
